gw issuses on windows7 pro 64 bit

i ran the gw setup exe from the guild wars site as admit and im admit on pc i also ran the shortcut as admit and seems like every time i restart pc the game trys to repair its self and thus means it has to redown load all files any 1 else have this problem im also using comand line for -image to download and then i use the user pass and char name but like i said it works fine till a restart them it messes up yea i know how to use the image command its got its own shortcut for the download idk if it would be hard ware issuses but might it hasnt dont it today yet @ tom yea im not that dumb to add that command and try to play game lol plz close any threads i may have open Last edited by corey54321; Feb 12, 2011 at 06:41 PM // 18:41.. |

This may be a dumb question but I could not tell from your post.
Did you remember to remove the -image command from the shortcut before using the shortcut to start play? |

Tom - from what hes saying its doing a repair not image - thyeres a difference between the 2 as both are -repair and -image. Repair only redoes the basic files for datfile and image does whole lot.
It def sounds like a hardware problem with hard drive maybe bad sectors or something , ive only had this problem a few years ago when my hard drive was really playing up and only real way i sorted it was a full scan on harddrive with surface scan.You could try using chkdsk command.... go run > cmd > chkdsk (drive .. eg c:\ ) /r it may do 1 of 2 things , first it will say it needs to dismount drive before scanning ( usually i think on D: upwards ) or it will state it will do checkdisk on next boot - if the latter say yes and reboot and leave it to do its stuff. Any bad areas / file index errors etc it will attempt to fix. |
